Rated 5 out of 5 by from loved it ! this was so beautifully executed and i really was able to relate to the author throughout many poems. you can really see how much of the author's vulnerability went into these poems and it's consistent throughout the book. i'm usually really picky about the poetry books i pick up, but i saw a lot of madisen's poems online, and i follow her on instagram so i thought i should pick up the book, and i'm really happy i did :) definitely ordering "eighteen years" now :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from absolutely loved "the possibility of it all of connection of becoming of leaving a speck in the eye of a world that didn't see me, not yet i could be anything." "how lovely it is, to fall asleep knowing that you lived today" "'you are home, you are home, you are home.' these bones, this heart; i am my own home. i could sail across the ocean, or get stuck in the middle of it, but i'll never be lost. i am home." this was beautiful. i cried a bunch of times because words make me weak. madisen truly has a talent for writing, and the audiobook with her reading made the experience that much more special. the way she writes about love is so personal, and yet it is easy to connect with her poems. after following her through social media for several years, her openness on the internet allows for such a deeper level of understanding when reading her books. absolutely loved this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just know it’ll be 5 star worthy This book isn’t even out yet and I already know it’s going to be so amazing I’ll smile and cry at the same time. Madisen Kuhn is an amazing poet and 18 Years was the best collection of words I’ve read. I cannot wait for this book.
