about

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was an American poet and educator. He was also the first American to translate The Divine Comedy, and was one of the five Fireside Poets. He wrote many lyric poems known for their musicality and often-presenting stories of mythology and legend. He was the most popular American poet in the whole world.

This book is a collection of lyrics. The movement of the 1840s in favor of the emancipation of the Negroes Longfellow took a much smaller part than other American poets, such Vitier and Lowell. This book is about that hard, tough and rude time… Read them to know more about the USA of the 19th century!
