Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great book to encourage ladies of all ages The world we live in is dark and forboding - don't believe me just turn on the news. This book is an excellent reminder to not become sinister like some characters that Pollyanna befriends; instead, she turns life into a challenge to become optimistic about some of the hardest of life challenges. A refreshing book in today's times. This would be a great gift for any girl/young lady who likes to read. Also a great resource for reading projects for families who want to encourage their children to read - there are around 32 chapters making this book easy to read in just over a month (doing a 1 chapter a day program).
