In 1913 a Squadron of Royal Flying Corps planes took off from Farnburgh to establish a largely experimental base at Upper Dysart, Montrose in Scotland. Two of these young men were Lt Alexander Dun and an American Al Willard.

At the same time a German spy ring was set up to monitor the progress made by both the experimental aircraft at Upper Dysart, Glen Tilt and the submarine flotilla established on the Tay.

Both Royal Flying Corps airmen fall in love not just with flying but also with local women.

This pre WW1 story is about a love of flying and a romance throughout these turbulent times.
