Fifteen-year-old Bridget Liu just wants to be left alone: by her overprotective mom, by Matt Quinn, the cute son of a local police sergeant, and by the eerie voices she can suddenly and inexplicably hear. Unfortunately for Bridget, the voices are demons—and Bridget possesses the rare ability to banish them back to whatever hell they came from. Literally.

Terrified to tell her friends or family about this new power, Bridget confides in San Francisco's senior exorcist, Monsignor Renault, who enlists her help in increasingly dangerous cases of demonic possession. But just as she is starting to come to terms with her freakish new role, Bridget receives a startling message from one of the demons. And when one of her oldest friends is killed, Bridget realizes she's in deeper than she ever thought possible. Now she must unlock the secret to the demons' plan before someone else close to her winds up dead—or worse, the human vessel for a demon king.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Read!! This book was very good! I usually don't like angel related books but this wasn't bad at all. It wasn't like other cliche angel books.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good ! Good novel, never read anything by this author before. I liked the idea of the book as a whole, but I felt like some things were dragged for a long time. I felt like some parts could've been better and also could've been more action throughout the book and not just at the end. There were some very predictable parts in the book. I really liked the exorcism part and the whole aspect behind it why she is able to do them, I found it very original since I have not read anything of this sort. I think the half angel part is kind of weird for me but it fit in with the story. I liked the religious aspect throughout the book even if I'm not very religious myself, I found it made it even more credible for the possession and exorcism parts, and also the fact that not all religious people are good. Overall a good book.
