about

The eponymous central character in Precious is a boozy, burned-out reporter with an embarrassing nickname and a penchant for getting into trouble. After three failed marriages and a humiliating stint in a Greek jail, he will do anything for the quiet life. Douglas Glover was recipient of the 2006 Writers' Trust of Canada Timothy Findley Award for his body of work. Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Precious Novel I would recomend this book to anyone I know. Probably best for mature teens and adults (for a younger crowd may miss the sarcasm and cynical writing). I found the first chapter a little too jumpy for my liking, but after that I found the book went quite smoothly and was very hard to put down. This is a definate read, even for non-mystery fans!! :-)
