“The reigning queen of paranormal romance”(Publishers Weekly) returns to the world of the Ghostwalkers, men and women invisible to their enemies, yet unprotected from the passions that could be their downfall…
Saber Winter is running from her past when she meets Jess Calhoun, an ex-Navy SEAL, physically and emotionally compromised by his own mysterious and violent history as a Ghostwalker. What Jess senses in Saber is a kindred spirit, a lost soul desperate for sanctuary. He offers her a home, a job, and a haven where she can safely reveal the secrets that shadow her. But danger follows her, too. Now, the riddles of both their pasts are about to collide, shattering the promise of their future with the ultimate betrayal.
Christine Feehan is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Carpathian series, the GhostWalker series, the Leopard series, the Shadow Riders series, and the Sea Haven novels, including the Drake Sisters series and the Sisters of the Heart series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it #plumrewards. What happened to Jesse in a previous Ghostwalker novel was very unfair and I'm glad Christine Feehan got to his story sooner rather than later.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love them Ghostwalkers! I really really enjoyed their story, more than i thought I would actually and so wanted to finish it in one sitting. The thing that I loved most about it was even though Saber and Jess are extremeley strong individuals with amazing powers and strengths, each of them also possessed vulnerabilities that make you understand them completely.... kinda makes you want to cry for them, yell at a character who isn't particularly the brightest, always guess who's the bad guy, and absolutely melt during those sensual scenes. Those two definitely had great chemistry all throughout!! Don't miss out on this one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another terrific book in the series! We get more on Jesse Calhoun in this one, and what he's been dealing with. As it's a continuation of the series, Feehan doesn't touch on a lot of the past. This one starts out different, and I think I liked it. It wasn't one of the GhostWalkers out looking for one of the women or out on a mission. It starts right in Jess's home. He'd met Saber, who answered a job ad, and has been his roommate for several months already. You get to feel how they interact right from the beginning. It's obvious that they are attracted to each other, and I liked how it had been almost a year before they even try something. Saber may be on the small side, but she can pack a punch. Trained, she hates her abilites until she learns how to use them for good instead of evil. She has a head on her shoulders, but is finding it very hard to trust anyone. With her past, I don't blame her. As a continuation in the series, if you plan on reading this, don't start with this book. You'll get lost right from the get-go. Feehan touches base on the past, but not enough to understand why the characters are going through what they're going through, not to mention why the secondary characters are, what they've done and why they are the way they are. Please, start from the beginning. Great action scenes, great love scenes. Lot's of descriptions in each category, LOL! You get the feel for everything; from Jess's house, the radio station, the characters inner battles, combat of every form. Excellent!
