Rated 5 out of 5 by from You do not have to believe in God to read this! I have grown up Catholic, but I wouldn't identify myself as a practicing Catholic. This book still opened my mind. Such a great read!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from False Teachings!! After reading the book "The Shack" by William P Young, I found that I had an amazing thrist to know more of God. So I went to Chapters and tried to find something along the lines of the title of this book. I got home super excited and opened the book to start reading, and even while reading the introduction I started to get a "bad" feeling. Unfortunately, I found that my feeling was justified the more and more that I read from the book. So I just wanted to let people know that this book IS NOT in any way, shape, or form BIBLICAL. The teachings in this book are VERY FALSE and the title is VERY MISLEADING. If you interested in knowing about the essence of God, what He stands for, and what He is looking for in a relationship with us read The Shack or The Purpose Driven Life, or you can go straight to the source and read The Bible. I hope you find this review helpful. I wish I would've read the reviews online before purchasing the book. God bless, Oana

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Positive I enjoyed CwG Book 1 very much. I had the book tucked away on my shelf for 10 years! I finally pulled it off the shelf this past month and read it cover to cover. It is a very enlightening book. Read it with an open mind and enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Changing I have read only a portion of it at the bookstore (I am planning to buy it later this week) and I am totally blown away by it. I don't have the words to describe what I feel. What does come to mind is . . . the truth will set you free John 8:32. I have found freedom. I believe that a person intuitively knows the truth. A knowing happens. That is what happened to me while reading this book. My life will never be the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finalmente - The Truth Great book! Saw it on display and thought how presumptuous to think that someone could actually dialogue with God Himself - some ego! Friend of mine gave it to me as a late Christmas present. Started reading it and was immediately connected to its contents. These were the very questions that I had been asking for several years and I realized that as my journal was proof, I was one of those presumptuous people that was having dialogues with God on a regular basis. I always believed that there was only One Supreme Being - labelled differently but He was one and the same. He created us in love and that was the emotion that was to drive us to maximize our potential - our love for ourselves and for others. The former being critical for if you could not see yourself as a beautiful creation then you could not see beauty in others. God gave us the freedom to choose and it is our choices that determine who we are. Our life partners should always seek to bring out the very best in us just as we seek to bring out the very best in them. When asked why he chose such a book for me - my friend replied, "it had your name on it". God does answer in many ways. Thank you my friend and thank you God! If anyone can relate and is interested in discussing this book in greater detail, please email me directly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Opens Your Mind and Your Soul So many of my questions were answered!! If you're looking for answers to some of the more difficult questions in your life this book could be just what you've been waiting for. Neale Donald Walsh's words have been divinely inspired and help to make sense of our purpose on this earth. Whatever form of God or a "devine being" that you believe in, this makes excellent and thought-provoking reading for those with an open mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So I am not crazy after all ... Reading this Conversation is like reading my mind and then some. You see, even before I read this book, I never doubted the existence of GOD and Jesus. But I have very different views than my religious friends (I am a Catholic). My views are not pro or against any religious teachings but are both common to all teachings and different from all religions. Many of the explanations described in this book I already instinctively "know", or you can say GOD told me. I am glad I can confirm them. Things I learn "after" reading this insightful book are precious. It immediately puts my life (soul) in prospective. The most important thing I confirmed is that GOD and the truth is in me the whole time. I need to look no further then me to find GOD, what GOD is all about and what I am all about. I just need to remember it. Now I know my purpose in life and how to achieve it. I even made some "conscious" choices and it was great! I intend to use these books and the bible for life reference in case I forget what and who I am. I have gained the most important knowledge in my life with this book. So can you. Read this book whether you intend to love it or trash it. The readiness of your soul will determine how you react to this book. May GOD help us all to experience GOD as he intended us to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A New Beginning Before I happened upon "Conversations with God", there were many aspects of life that I allowed to slip past me unnoticed. However, I can honestly say for the first time that a book has changed the way I interact with both my inner and my outer worlds. Neale Donald Walsch, together with his uncommon yet profoundly insightful co-author, present some of the most fascinating and controversially original ideas, ranging from sex and politics (mutually exclusive) to the nature of good and evil. Religious or otherwise, any open-minded reader will recognize that this book not only opens doors, it renders them obsolete. Read it now, and begin living a new life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good...good book Yes, religion has been one of the most argued and talked about subjects in human history. This book as the first part of a trilogy of books puts the light on many questions of what you and I, as ordinary people, might want answers to. As a teenager in search for my faith and answers to life, i certainly recommend this book to anyone who is in the same situation as i am.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's not what it seems to be. BECAREFUL! Yes, this book gives answers that CLAIMS to be from God. The book may seem to be answering questions about life and God and everything in between. It's sounds simple and direct, BUT it can only be taken as a motivational guide. Some people has taken it as their "Bible". BUT it's NOT the HOLY BIBLE. The HOLY BIBLE opens your mind to God's world and asks yourself to find the answer to life. DO NOT take this book as the "Word of God." Experience the Word of God from the Holy Bible, not from this book. Don't expect to know what God is tell us from some second-hand opinion. My suggestion to you is to find someone with a religious background, share with them and see what they say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything You Ever Needed to Know About Life The only book I have ever read that has changed me... for the better. The ideas expressed in this book have laid the path for how I want to live me life. I suggest it to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intuitively True I am a 21 year old university student, and this book got passed along to me by an old boyfriend. I am not going to extoll on its life changing insight, or its powers of spiritual enlightenment. I only know that whether this book was a figment of the authors imagination, or the word of the man himself doesn't matter at all. The dialogue is inspiring in itself and reading what our life has the potential to be will make you cry with joy. It feels like finding your soul mate waiting for you with a rose in your favourite place in the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We are One I found this book to be enlightening, validating, and the most truth I have ever heard. I did not only read this book, I experienced it! It had me laughing, crying and even resistant at times. It answered many questions and cleared away confusion I had felt for years. I have bought it for friends and usually can not have a conversation without making reference to it. I have read all three and look forward to reading them over and over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Deep After searching years for the answers to whether GOD exsisted and if so, what He stood for, Neale Donald Walsch has definitely brought me closest if not directly to the answer. Creationism or evolution? How about One, as a result of the other. I Am a different person as a result of this book. Happier, healthier and getting closer to God every day. Thank you Mr. Walsch and God for showing me the way to finding out Who I Am.

Read from the Book

The Secret of LifeThe deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation. You are not discovering yourself, but creating yourself anew. . . . Life (as you call it) is an opportunity for you to know experientially what you already know conceptually. You need learn nothing to do this. You merely need to remember what you already know, and act on it.WorkDoing is a function of the body. Being is a function of the soul. The body is always doing something. . . . The soul is forever being. . . . Your soul doesn't care what you do for a living -- and when your life is over, neither will you. Your soul cares only what you're being while you're doing whatever you're doing.Your life work is a statement of Who You Are. If it is not, then why are you doing it? . . . If "man who supports his family, at all costs, even his own happiness" is Who You Are, then love your work, because it is facilitating your creation of a living statement of Self. If "woman who works at job she hates in order to meet responsibilities as she sees them" is Who You Are, then love, love, love your job, for it totally supports your Self image, your Self concept.Sex . . . Sex is joy, and many of you have made sex everything else but. Sex is sacred, too -- yes. But joy and sacredness do mix (they are, in fact, the same thing), and many of you think they do not. Your attitudes about sex form a microcosm of your attitudes about life. Life should be a joy, a celebration, and it has become an experience of fear, anxiety, "not enough-ness," envy, rage, and tragedy. The same can be said about sex. You have repressed sex, even as you have repressed life . . . . You have shamed sex, even as you have shamed life, calling it evil and wicked, rather than the highest gift and the greatest pleasure.RelationshipsThere is a way to be happy in relationships, and that is to use relationships for their intended purpose, not the purpose you have designed. . . . Most people enter into relationships with an eye toward what they can get out of them, rather than what they can put into them. The purpose of a relationship is to decide what part of yourself you'd like to see "show up," not what part of another you can capture and hold. . . . It is very romantic to say that now that your special other has entered your life, you feel complete. Yet the purpose of relationship is not to have another who might complete you; but to have another with whom you might share your completeness.. . . you have no obligation. Neither in relationship, nor in all of life. . . . You have only opportunity. Opportunity, not obligation, is the cornerstone of religion, the basis of all spirituality. . . . Relationship -- your relationship to all things -- was created as your perfect tool in the work of the soul. That is why all human relationships are sacred ground. It is why every personal relationship is holy.
