Rated 3 out of 5 by from good diet I just want to say to anyone who considers this a bad diet , that most of the people on this side of the world suffer from a candida yeast over growth and dont even know it. This implecations are astounding if not treated. If you have this and do not know it and start this diet it will help you tremendously and you never even new you had a problem except for weight. Look up Candida yeast overgrowth and see what I mean. If you have it you can fix it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from this book was a joke Dr. Atkins knows nothing of the day to day stress of living with obesity. Does slow metabloism ring a bell Dr. Atkins? Your insensitivity towards the matter will never be forgotten in my opinion I've wasted .99 cents on your damn book.

A reader friendly book that you cannot put down. Anyone that follows Dr. Atkins instruction is on the path to a new you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Believe it. A godsend! I have tried for over 10 years to lose weight on all kinds of exercise and diet plans and was never able to maintain success. On this plan, I lost 14 lbs the first week and averaged 5 lbs each week since. I eat more and exercise less than usual and have lost over 60 lbs so far. I feel like I have found the secret to a happy and fit life without any sacrifices at all. I have started working out now and I know that I will lose at an even faster rate from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Diet I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to lose weight. It is more of a new life tyle and not a true diet. However, be careful!! I lost 20 lbs in the first 2 weeks by following the first phase of the plan. Afterwords, even slacking off the plan, I lost an additional 10 lbs in the following 4 weeks. But it works and without hunger, etc.
