Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Pioneer Woman Cookbooks I love the Pioneer Woman TV show but am disappointed in the 2 cookbooks that I purchased on line. Was hoping for more of her recipes that were shown on her show. Her cookbook 'The Pioneer Woman Cooks' is a nice book but I think, more for a beginner. Although I like a lot of 'recipe' photos, this book has a photo for every single step for each recipe - it's distracting and too busy! As I am not a new cook, I just want the actual recipe photo and the instructions. Also, I wanted more of the recipes used on her TV show which I don't see in this book. If I had seen this book in the store and checked it out, I may not have purchased it. But I still enjoy her show!

Editorial Reviews

“Mouthwatering….Step–by–step instructions are illustrated with photographs at each stage. Ranch–style chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches and fancy macaroni and cheese will appeal to the reader’s desire to cook hearty foods…[and] Drummond makes exotic–sounding dishes such as Italian Meatball Soup and Honey–Plum–Soy Chicken as simple as frying an egg.”
