Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent!!! You may not like Kevin O'Leary's abrasiveness, his in-your-face honesty, and audaciousness, but, you've got to hand it to him, he knows of what he speaks. This is invaluable advice for anyone who is trying to keep all the dollars they work hard for. Sound advice! This book is right up there with The Wealthy Barber.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The cold hard truth.. If you didn't like Kevin O'leary on Dragons Den or Shark Tank then you won't like this book. But if you're looking for frank no nonsense advice then this is the best book on your personal finances that I've seen in 17 years in the financial services industry. Read and apply it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely worth the time A great introduction to personal finance! While some of Kevin's ideas are a bit simplistic, this is great for making you wake up and start to take charge of your finances. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gift for family I saw Kevin O'Leary on Steven and Chris and his advice was so practical and well advised that I thought his books would be excellent for my children. So I bought both books for both of them for Christmas. I know it will be sound counsel for the kids now that they are ready to dip into the financial world and have families of their own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Reading As a person in the Financial Services Field I am always looking for good books to recommend to clients. Books with concrete ideas, that are geared to the average Canadian with easy to understand concepts. This book fits the bill on all counts. It was an easy read, it had easy to understand concepts written in such a way that made total sense. The advice in this book would make a significant difference to your financial health for years to come. As someone proficient in this area, even I found tips I can adopt to fine tune my financial well being. I would especially recommend this book to a young adult so they can make smart financial decisions from the beginning. Buy a copy, read it and pass it on to your university bound child as a graduation gift, they will thank you for it one day.

Editorial Reviews

“Stressed out about the grown child who won’t leave your basement? Have family members circling like vultures now that you’re retired and saved your nest egg? Unable to climb out of debt? As if he were the Don Cherry of financial wisdom, O’Leary provides strongly worded, anecdote-driven answers, unafraid of the people he might offend.”  —National Post“Full of valuable advice imparted in a no-nonsense manner, this book will have a profound effect on how people relate to and manage their money.”—Publishers Weekly
