Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, educational book! Absolutely hit! My 24months old son, who loves numbers and letters became just obsessed with this book and Canada 123 as well. He memorized both these books and they are before sleep recitations almost every day.Strongly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, Detailed Illustrations What impressed me about this book and prompted me to buy it for my daughter, was the attention to detail in the many beautiful illustrations. Someone did a lot of research to incorporate so much on each page. The only downside about this book for me is that I think I might have more interest in it than my daughter, who at 1, may still be a little young for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gift Purchased this as a baby shower gift for a Canadian friend who now lives in the United States. Great illustrations, bright and vibrant. Love how each of the pages are thick boards, which is easy to flip through and more durable. The book is really patriotic and educational. The "C" for Canada shows a colourful map of all the provinces and the "F" for Flag page has all the flags of the provinces. Can't wait for her and the baby to receive it.

Date published: 2017-05-18
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not that great While the pictures were fun, bright and kid friendly, the content just wasn't there. This book focused too much on hockey and the Eastern provinces with nothing on the prairies, except I suppose "R is for railroad". It was sadly disappointing. May I suggest "A Prairie Alphabet " by Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet for those Manitoba and Saskatchewan kids out there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Visually appealing A bright and visually appealing book to small children. Not as 'Canadian' as it could be, but the target age hasn't necessarily grasped patriotism yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this book! This book includes many uniquely Canadian vocabulary words. The pictures are bright and colorful and the artwork is skilled. I volunteer with refugee families and this book is fabulous for every member of the family, not just children but parents as well. The sturdy boardbook is well constructed and will be be indestructible even for younger children.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A CANADIAN ABC I absolutely love the concept of this book , being that we are Canadian.I think it's great that my children when reading this book can actually visualize and have seen or may will like experience them at some point in their lives. I also love that it covers all areas of Canada from the Stampeed out West , to Niagara Falls, to Dog sleds in the North and Quebec. My only complaints are that I feel there were a few other much more Canadian items that could have been used for some of the letters. For Instance P- is for Polar Bear.... what about Peggy's Cove? or K is for Klondike instead of Kayak. The most disappointing part for me was " X " is for explorer??? I would rather have seen x-ray . Explorer doesn't even start with X. For this reason I gave it only 3 stars. Loved the concept of the book and still read it to my children. I just make a game out of trying to see if they can figure out which letter in the book is wrong and we also try and come up with as many Canadian things that we can for each letter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love! because we love the Toronto ABC book so much by the same author, we had to get this one and it does not disappoint. I read this book with my own children and also purchased a few as gifts. Also use this book in the classroom and it is a hit with the young ones.
