about

In the next installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica--the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both--and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

Sarah J. Maas is the #1 New York Times and internationally bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series, as well as the Court of Thorns and Roses series. Her books are published in over thirty-six languages. A New York native, Sarah lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and dog.www.worldofsarahjmaas.comwww.facebook.com/theworldofs...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Addition to the Series! I'm rounding this one up from a 3.75 star rating (I know..picky, picky) to a 4 star rating for the sake of Goodreads as it doesn't seem fair to downgrade this book to a 3 star rating. You get me? Okay, I have been up and down with the Throne of Glass series throughout. I initially loved the first one but somewhere around Heir of Fire, I was questioning whether I was liking the series enough to continue. Overall, I'm glad I did because I have felt that Empire of Storms and this novel, Tower of Dawn have both been immensely better than I expected. Tower of Dawn really was a enjoyable, entertaining, and enthralling read. I was hesitant and critical about the length in the beginning (which I still think it may have been longer than necessary) but it was worth the read. Also, I enjoyed both of the parallel stories going on at the same time and was interested in each of the characters involved. Typically with novels that include multiple parallel stories, I am more invested and interested in one story and skim over the others. Although I was most interested in the story of Chaol (obviously, I mean this is HIS novel essentially) I was also interested in Nesryn's story. I could include the other characters that I was invested in but I do not want to give away spoilers. I am interested to see where we go from here. I feel like there is so much to resolve yet at the same time, isn't there only one more novel left? It will be interesting to read of the conclusion if that is the case and how everything is tied up. Definitely cannot wait for the next novel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! I won't lie I didn't have a lot of interest in Nesryn before but this book made me really take to her character, I adore Chaol even more now and I love the new characters. Like always SJM is clever in how she ties characters together - one of my favorites for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this series I started reading this series about 3 months ago and I cannot put any of these books down. This book is the perfect way to view Chaols life moving forward from all the action around him in the past. It has the suspense, surprises, and romance of all the other books in the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impossible to put down The latest instalment to the Throne of Glass series, and I have to say that this book is as well written and impossible to put down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No prior judgement Sarah J Mass is one of those authors who can literally turn a character you hate (Manon/Lorcan) into one of your favourites! Now, although I am not the biggest fan of Chaol, especially after Queen of Shadows, I know that this is going to be an unbelievable book! Yes, I would have loved the series to just continue on with Aelin and her crew, but I think this book is much needed contribution to really see what goes on with Chaol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from .... as long as it's not just Coal. I've already put up with him for like 4 books, so as long as it doesn't focus on him, it'll be ok. If this is does though, have no Rowan, Aelin, Aedian, Layssandre (idk if that's spelled right) Dorian, and or Manon, then, well god bless us. One thing that worries me is the cover, as it's always been Aelian, it might not have her so much, as Coal. Or if this book is during the Empire of Storms, when he is trying to gather troops, and it's almost like an extra.... as long as it's good. or if there will be another.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Never like Chaol I kinda hate chaol. and especially hate it when authors try to bring previously mentioned minor characters into future books. Like i would be better off without it.
