Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Encouragement This book was an awesome encouragement to me as a Christian stay-at-home mom. It also offered practical advice that I plan on using! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who takes their job as a mother seriously!! This book will give you guidance in many areas and give you the renewed encouragement to be the best mom, wife and home manager you can be. In a society that seems to worry more about the kind of world we are leaving for our children instead of the kind of children we are leaving for this world, this book is a breath of fresh air!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but not what I was expecting from title I bought this book because frankly I lack the knowledge and knowhow to be a functionnal mother (i am expecting), and I was expecting more hints and knowledge from this book. Im not saying that it didnt have any, because it still had a lot of good advice and councelling on a more spiritual and psychological point of view of motherhood, but I wasent expecting it to be about 50% on how to developp a relationship with god. Dont get me wrong, I understand the importance of the big guy in mothering, but still I could've grasped it in the first five pages she wrote about it. If youre looking for spiritual guidance in motherhood, then this book is for you, but if youre looking for a more hands on, housekeeping or otherwise more technical book, I'd probably suggest another read, like A confession from an organized housekeeper .
