Andrew Lang was a Scottish prolific author, mostly known as a collector of folk and fairy tales. 
“Puddocky” is a German tale entered in “The Green Fairy Book” collection. The story is about one poor woman, who has the beautiful girl called Parsley. She is so called because she likes eating parsley better than any other food. One day the poor woman goes to the garden of an old witch, who lives near, and gathers there the parsley for daughter. In exchange for stolen vegetables the witch demands to let the poor woman's daughter come here and live with her… What destiny is waiting for Parsley and how will the story end?
