about

"BELGARIAD is exactly the kind of fantasy I like. It has magic, adventure, humor, mystery, and a certain delightful human insight."

The master Sorcerer Belgarath and his daughter Polgara the arch-Sorceress were on the trail of the Orb, seeking to regain its saving power before the final disaster prophesized by the legends. And with them went Garion, a simple farm boy only months before, but now the focus of the struggle. He had never believed in sorcery and wanted no part of it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! This is one of the best books ( actually series, but anyway...) I have ever read. When I picked this, along with "Pawn of Prophecy" off of the shelf in the library, I never dreamed that it would be such a good book! I like it better than the first book, as it has more magic and adventure. Garion, Belgareth, and the others travel more and meet more other people than in "Pawn of Prophecy".I can't wait to get my hands on the next three! Chapters, Here I come!
