Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jacq is brilliant! This was a great book written by Jacq.He is an excellent author and knows alot about ancient eygpt. His descriptions are very vivid so much so that you could even smell the scents and feel the cool breeze. It is very interesting how he(Ramses grows up to become pharoah and has to battle his brother for the throne. The characters are so well described you knew who they were and could almost predict what would happen, but Jacq does something unexpected with them each time. A great series of books, highly recommened.I will leave you to the rest to discover the exciting life of Ramses II.Enjoy!

More than 3,000 years ago, Ramses was born to power and privilege in the Royal household of ancient Egypt. The Son of Light is the first volume of his fictionalized history, and it's the story of 14-year-old boy who must learn to surround himself with friends as he's being groomed for the throne of one of the world's most powerful nations. At last available in North America, the epic of Ramses will move you deeply; it is the story of one of the great Biblical tyrants, told with new compassion.
