Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent if you want something basic... I bought the ebook version of this book and find that this is an excellent grammar to carry with me on my PDA for reference purposes whenever a question comes up. It covers all the essentials of English grammar, with few but good examples; but it also includes sections on common errors, commonly confused words, avoidance of insensitive or offensive language, spelling, rules of word division (where and how to hyphen,) and the list goes on and on. I love it. Not Quirk, but excellent for a quick review/reference.
