Customer Reviews of Rapt: Attention And The Focused Life

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great read, a wonderful experience Rapt - deeply absorbed, paying super attention - this is a word that we seldom use in our normal life. Surprisingly, now I have learned that it could actually be one of the secret (or not so secret) ingredient to a quality life. Winifred Gallagher has done a great job with Rapt introducing us to neuroscience research and the experiences of individuals on how attention and mindfulness can change how we perceive the world, and hence affect how we are to live. Be honest, when I started the first couple of chapters, I didn't think I would get so much out of this book; the deeper I went the more engrossed I became, until I felt I was compelled to pay rapt attention to it. A great read, a wonderful experience.
