Red Mist is rated 2 out of 5 by 1.
The new Kay Scarpetta novel from the world's #1 bestselling crime writer.

Determined to find out what happened to her former deputy chief, Jack Fielding, murdered six months earlier, Kay Scarpetta travels to the Georgia Prison for Women, where an inmate has information not only on Fielding, but also on a string of grisly killings. The murder of an Atlanta family years ago, a young woman on death row, and the inexplicable deaths of homeless people as far away as California seem unrelated. But Scarpetta discovers connections that compel her to conclude that what she thought ended with Fielding's death and an attempt on her own life is only the beginning of something far more destructive: a terrifying terrain of conspiracy and potential terrorism on an international scale. And she is the only one who can stop it.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Red Mist Am working my way from the beginning of the series, realizing that I hadn't read the first book, "Post Mortem". All brilliant, although some of the more graphic scenes in the south, along the way, aren't my favorite. I intend to read the last book of the current series and will have finished it in time for the launch on Nov.11th. 2014 of the latest telling of the Kate Scarpetta saga, as it now unfolds.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Red Mist Not the best Patricia Cornwell book I have ever read.  A few times I thought "What is this about."  Took a long time to get anywhere then I didn't see the point. Quite boring for a lot of the book.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Red misyt Typical Cornwell. She is a master at planting a seed to the solution of the mystery in leading to the finale, ending was a bit abrupt but an enjoyable read all the same.
