about

Swift Current City owes its existence to the little creek that meanders through the grasslands of southwestern Saskatchewan. Its shimmering surface has mirrored the progress of the last hundred years, flowing through periods of immigration, settlement, prosperity, depression, and war. The creek reflected thirsty antelope, guzzling steam locomotives, drifting mallards, and measured the lengthening shadows of maturing elms. We are still drawn to its enduring presence where children fish and swim, errant golf balls splash, artists muse, and lovers stroll hand in hand.

In this collections, Prairie Quills Members reflect upon the history of Swift Current, a city stitched to the land by a timeless seam of flowing water.

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great diverse collection The Prairie Quills have out down their previous anthologies with Reflections From The Creek. The stories and poems carry the history of Swift Current, SK with creative detail. I love the work of Madelon Smid, P.J. Worrell, Norm Krell, Joyce Olesen, Bill Gibs and Dianne Miller. I dare anyone who comes across this book to open it or download it. It's fantastic literature.
