Lane Austin would do almost anything for his local firehouse, even model for a sexy calendar. But now he’s allowed himself to be talked into auctioning himself off. What was he thinking?
Abby has just walked away from a terrible relationship that should have ended years ago. What better way to celebrate than having her cousin take her to watch a bunch of firemen be auctioned off to horny housewives? But when Jenna secretly buys Mr. September for her, her entire world and all of her preconceptions about hunky men will change forever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful firefighter romance. Wow! What a great book! I loved the story line of Lane getting talked into posing for a firefighters calendar. But that's not all. As another fundraiser, he agrees to participate in a Fireman Auction and be auctioned off for a dinner date. Abby was new in town and just ended a relationship. In an attempt to cheer her up, Abby's cousin, Jenna, takes her out. Little did Abby know they were going to the auction. Jenna bought Mr. September, Lane, for Abby when she was out of the room. Abby was sure surprised when she found out. As with all of Jill Sanders books, the writing is smooth flowing making it easy to follow the plot. And what a plot! Starting with hunky firemen posing for calendars then seeing the softer side to Lane when he starts caring for Abby. I love seeing a big, strong alpha male getting all mushy for a woman. I liked Abby too. She was a strong woman who was determined to move on from her damaging past relationship. I had to love Jenna who was always doing what she thought was best for Abby - whether she liked it or not. This was a great romance and I'm so glad I got it through Goodreads Making Connections. Even though I got this book free I'm voluntarily reviewing it as I do with all the books I read.
