Ravi S. Singh (PhD) is Professor at the Department of Geography, Banaras Hindu University (Varanasi, UP), India. Associated with several prestigious academic and scientific bodies, he is currently Vice-President: The Indian Society of Spatial Science (Presidency University, Kolkata) and Secretary: The Institute of Indian Geographers (Pune) besides being on the advisory board of many academic journals.
