From the time he can remember, his father told him lies about the mother who abandoned him when he was a child. Memories of the night she left, and the cruelty of his father, live like a viper in his gut. Now, when Rachel draws close, he builds walls and pushes her away. Yet how can he live without her? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still love this series Revealed, Book 3 of Rapture's Edge Trilogy by Caris Roane. I received a book from the author. The review I give because I want to. Lately I've been enjoying these books so much that I'm losing myself in the story and not paying attention that it's getting near the end. The last two (Revealed and The Veil) I got to "The End" and was shocked. The story does come to a conclusion, although the background story will continue. If you read this one you get a resolution to the couple in the story. This book continues Rachel and Duncan's story, along with a little of Owen and his breh-hedden Katlynn. Rachel and Duncan still have a lot to work out in the book, and it goes anything but smoothly. Nor does the 'revealing' of Rapture's Edge go smoothly, with twists and turns and a very sad moment that'll make you want to cry. Characters continue to grow and a big reveal (other than that of Rapture's Edge) is in the book. We have warriors showing moments of being human, and not the tough alpha guys they normally are. That's not the shocker. That's reserved for Endelle being the sympatric 'friend' … didn't know she had it in her, and we find a couple interesting things about her past during this dialog. Yep, the Queen of Snark is still around and has some of the best snarky lines, but it does show that she can be, well, for lack of a better word, sweet. (Makes you want to read it just to figure out what I'm talking about doesn't it).
