Rated 3 out of 5 by from A charming tale good for those just learning to read I read this book when I was younger and was impressed by it. I particularly like the book's focus on Ricky's need for a friend and the building of the friendship between the robot and Ricky Ricotta. Recommended for kids

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great series for young readers We borrowed this series from a friend and enjoyed it so much at we bought it ourselves. It is a great starting point for children moving from picture books to chapter books (whether they are reading them alone or being read to by a parent). Each book has a section that is like a traditional book, like a comic book and like a flip book (where you turn the page back and forth to make the characters move). The pictures are colourful and the stories are fun to follow. I recommend this book as well as the rest of the series.
