Customer Reviews of Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot vs. the Jurassic Jackrabbits from Jupiter (Book 5)

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from General Jackrabbit Attacks By this time sitting down with Ricky Ricotta is a comfortable feeling as each book follows the same plotting device. Starting off with Ricky's birthday, he finds his day ruined when he learns his cousin Lucy will be attending the Dinosaur museum with them. Then it is off to Jupiter where a few humorous but factual facts about the planet are supplied and General Jackrabbit wants to take over the Galaxy starting with Earth. Deviating from the usual circumstances Ricky's Robot finds himself in trouble this time and Ricky has to rescue him. This one has a lot of action so makes a very quick read and we are rewarded again by glimpsing at all the previous villains in prison when Jackrabbit is sent there too. The story is light-hearted as usual though I didn't find this one exactly funny more just silly.

With barely more text than a long easy-reader, this title will be a heaven-sent choice for kids with reading difficulties." -School Library Journal"It's easy to see how Pilkey's high-action, easy-reading chapter novel with a comic book feel would appeal to younger readers . . . Silly good fun." -Kirkus"Newly independent readers and Pilkey fans alike will not be disappointed by this humorous ride." -School Library Journal"Aimed at a younger audience than the wildly popular Captain Underpants books, this series opener has all the classic Pilkey hallmarks..." -Booklist
