Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Absolutely worth it ! I read this book recently, and I can gladly say it was fantastic. The great use of imagery and language, made this novel a truly remarkable read. The novel is set in World War I, the protagonist, Bruno, lives near a concentration camp. He develops a companion and they become very close. With the author's great choice of words and powerful imagery, it's almost as if you are in Bruno,s shoes. Despite the amazing imagery and word choice, the book could be quite boring and slow at parts, which explains why I chose to give it the rating I did. If you push aside the minor setback's this book is suitable for many people and is quite an interesting read.
