From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries series, comes the very first adult installment, which follows Princess Mia and her Prince Charming as they plan their fairy tale wedding—but a few poisoned apples could turn this happily-ever-after into a royal nightmare.

For Princess Mia, the past five years since college graduation have been a whirlwind of activity, what with living in New York City, running her new teen community center, being madly in love, and attending royal engagements. And speaking of engagements. Mia’s gorgeous longtime boyfriend Michael managed to clear both their schedules just long enough for an exotic (and very private) Caribbean island interlude where he popped the question! Of course Mia didn’t need to consult her diary to know that her answer was a royal oui.

But now Mia has a scandal of majestic proportions to contend with: Her grandmother’s leaked “fake” wedding plans to the press that could cause even normally calm Michael to become a runaway groom. Worse, a scheming politico is trying to force Mia’s father from the throne, all because of a royal secret that could leave Genovia without a monarch.  Can Mia prove to everyone—especially herself—that she’s not only ready to wed, but ready to rule as well?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Liked it I felt this book did not need to be written the last book ended the series perfectly and did not need to be continued, but it was a fun read. I did expect more but I still enjoyed reading it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from shouldn't be in adult fiction loved the princess diaries books taking place throughout mia's high school years. this reboot to the series is like every character took a blow to the head, they're all lacking the emotional maturity they should've gained at this point. The worst is the discussion of Mia and Michael's sex life, which feels like cheesy fan fiction. I was so excited to return to this series, and it was not worth my time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart Meg was really smart to continue the series with Meg being an adult. It does give closure to the fans. But I do wish that Meg would continue the series for just a bit longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Conclusion This book is a great way to end the series, Mia grown up and having a royal wedding. Interesting seeing the characters as adults, defiantly worth reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful ending I powered through the Princess Diaries books over the course of a couple weeks. I chose to not get the side books. My sister bought this book for me when she found out I was reading the series. I found it to be a delightful way to wrap up the series with a nice wedding. Very enchanting. By the end of the series you feel like Mia is your best friend. I loved the writing style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still good, but could've been better I loved loved loved the princess diaries series and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this book in store - obviously, I snatched it up right away and read it within the next day. It was a good read and it was funny, as usual, but for a followup so many years later, it felt a bit anticlimactic. But either way, I'm glad we got to see more of Mia's story!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expected more I grew up reading this series so when I heard a new one was out I immediately bought it. It was okay, I just remembered the series being better than it was but that could have been because I've grown out of it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVEEEEE Mia is now twenty-six years old. She's come far from her teen years and has proven to be a wonderful princess of Genovia. She has wonderful supportive friends, a job she loves, a loving but meddling family and Michael, her high school sweetheart. Then she finds out something about her father that could change her life forever. I pretty much devoured this one. Written in a diary style, it includes written diary entries in Mia's narrative style. There's also snippets from newspapers, Internet articles and my favourite one of all text messages. So many funny bits, I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Not only does Meg Cabot get into the heart and soul of her main character, but she also gives sunny personalities to the secondary characters. Mia's two best friends have been there from the beginning and I love how different they each are yet they are both so supportive and loving towards Mia. Lily and Tina are just the best fictional friends you could ask for. Then there's Michael who is still the smartest, yet very wily and flirty at the same time. His emoii stories made me laugh out loud too. Can I also say how romantic his proposal to Mia was?? AHH SO CUTE *swoons* I don't know if I should comment about Mia's Grandmere because some of the things she said made me angry, but I have to remind myself she's also fictional. Reading "Royal Wedding" brought me back to my teen years and I loved every minute of it! If you haven't read this series yet, give it a go..I know you'll laugh out loud as much as I did.
