Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wonderful book that teaches children to be generous in acts and spirit My children love this story. Last weekend my daughter gave her treasured quarter to a musician in the subway, a lesson she learned in this story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a story of compassion A wonderful story beautifully told. As I read along I thought the little boy and his grandma were on their long way home, but it turns out to be something quite different. It's such a good story for children to learn about helping the less fortunate. Great illustrations, too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings Excellently written and great messages in it, but the story isn't much of a story. The ending disapppinted me, I was expecting more based off the title but it just ended, and I don't think my 3 year old got the end. I would still recommend it though.
