Run is set on Earth's first space colony, a short-sighted last-gasp economic stimulus project rashly funded before the slow death of depopulation enters its accelerated phase. Catholics and other religious minorities emigrated to the colony when the religious persecutions began in earnest on Earth, but is wasn't going well, when suddenly the new World President, a transvestite with shadowy gender papers, announces she's about to make it worse: the World government has a foolproof plan, a new One World Religion that will stop war and spark those birth rates. You better join. Or else.

Just in time Rome wakes up and sends them a bishop. And then a Goth skank gets them a ship, and a Muslim pilot gives them a place to run to. It's straight out of Exodus, and it will be real, tomorrow. It's only science fiction for today.
