about

Even sweet cowboys have a sinful side…

Robert Lawson—Bubba to his friends—is six feet, four inches of tall, dark, and handsome, with a panty-melting voice and a face made to launch a country music career. But when his family’s ranch hands go down with the flu, Robert cancels his high-profile auditions, and returns home to Lonesome Point to help out. Fortune and fame are all well and good, but family and friends come first.

Besides, he’s ready to enjoy some off-the-clock time with his manager, a woman who has him dying to show her what a good man can do when he’s given permission to be bad.

Marisol Medina has been looking for her golden ticket since she became a country music manager. A scandal with one of her clients nearly destroyed her, but now she's close to launching an artist who will make her career. Robert Lawson has it all—talent, charisma, and a naughty side that flicks all of Marisol’s kinkier switches.

Too bad he’s off limits. She refuses to mix business and pleasure, even if it will be hell resisting temptation while spending a week at the Lawson ranch.

But as Marisol and Robert grow closer and the passion between them ignites, Marisol must decide if a chance at forever is worth breaking all her rules.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bubba... Wow. If it was possible to fall in love with a book, this is it. I'm a huge fan of Jessie Evans, and all of the hot alpha males, and the women who love them she creates. But Bubba, he's number one now. If I could give this book six stars, I would. Sorry Nash from Keeping You, you were beaten by Jamison from Sweet to You....then Gabe came along in This Wicked Rush and nearly won me over as my favourite, just like Sawyer from Leather and Lace. You've all made a valiant effort, but the prize goes to Bubba. He was sweet, sexy, dominant and just everything a girl can dream off. I adored everything about this book, and was so sad to see it end. I can't wait for Pike and Tulsi's story coming up next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tall, dark and Yummy-licious cowboy! This is the second book in The Lonesome Point series, (all stand alones, with no cliffhangers). We met Robert (Bubba to his friends) in the first book with Mia, as one of her best friends. He has a voice that just invokes sinful pleasure and he has been convinced to give this singing gig a try. His manager had set up some high-profile auditions for him, but when the family ranch is brought to a halt by the flu, he drops everything to return to Lonesome Point. To him, family and friends come before fame and fortune. Marisol (his manager) has been deeply hurt in the past and no longer has trust in other people, but she is inexplicably drawn to Robert's sexy voice. Bubba takes a chance, when he is being pursued by fans, to grab Marisol and give her a kiss like none she has ever had before. He can tell from her reaction to him that she is into him, but doing her best to deny it and keep their relationship strictly business. When he tells her he has to leave for Lonesome Point, he knows that she follows him and he intends to use that time to make her see that they can have it all, not just the fame and fortune, but a love that lasts. But can their love survive her past or will it destroy them, along with Robert's chance of a music career? Again, I loved all the quirky characters and look forward to reading Tulsi and Pike's story next. This series is a must read if you like stories with mystery and a lot of romance. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saddles and Sin is sensationally sexy and sinful Saddles and Sin – 4½ stars Saddles and Sin is book two in Jessie Evans' Lonesome Point series, and I must say is an outstanding addition to the series. Robert is positively a sweetheart and the most loving man I have read about in quite some time. But my oh my was I surprised by him when "behind the bedroom door," he virtually transforms into a dominant and dare I say the most sexy book boyfriend I have read about in quite some time. Yowza! Robert Lawson has lived his entire life in Lonesome Point helping his family to run their ranch. But ranching is far from his dreams for the future as he has always wanted to be in the country music business. Robert has finally decided to take a chance and has signed on with Marisol, a music manager, who after hearing him sing believes she has finally found a client who has the potential of becoming a huge star which will help launch her managerial career in the business as well. Attempting to keep their relationship strictly on a professional level quickly proves to be an impossible feat as both Robert and Marisol struggle intensely with their mutual attraction towards one another. Marisol Medina has suffered from betrayal in the past both professionally as well as from her own family and since then has continued to keep her heart sheltered and protected. So when Robert agrees to sign with her, despite the allure she feels for him chooses to focus only on making him the next biggest country sensation. But when Robert suddenly has to return home to help out his family, not wishing to risk losing her greatest prospective client, Marisol decides to go to Lonesome Point with him so she can continue the momentum she has begun to build for his career. But as they continue to spend time together, the walls of professionalism begin to crumble drawing them into each other's arms and hearts. So when Marisol’s past rises once again, she is left with making the decision of whether to run or if she can put her trust in Robert to help her overcome the hurt she has suffered and allow him into her life and ultimately into heart and into her soul? Saddles and Sin is one sensationally sexy and sinful story. Although we did meet Robert in book one of this series, we now are made privy to more of his inner turmoil on his career decisions and in dealing with his family as well as his proclivities in the bedroom. Ms. Evans definitely has given us some hot and steamy intimate moments between Robert and Marisol which may require a large glass of ice water before you’re through. I liked both of these characters very quickly and am also delighted with the return of some of the characters from the first book as well. I am very much enjoying the Lonesome Point series and look forward to more characters and more sexy fun with book three. Positively sinful Ms Evans. I loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Series I have become a huge fan of Jessie Evans and what better way to dive further into her books then with cowboys. I was swept into Lonesome point with Leather and Lace where we fell in love with a side character named Bubba. Now in Saddles and sin it's Bubba's turn for love. This book made me Laugh, Smile, Cry, Happy, Sad, etc. etc. Just draws emotion out all around. The romance-love may seem a bit rushed, but not if you take into account the prior working relationship. If i had to pick a "room for improvement" I'd go with the sex scenes. They didn't flow for me, but it wasn't enough to detract from my love of the book. anxiously awaiting Diamonds and Dust

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful! I fell in love with Lonesome Point, Texas in the first book of the series (Leather and Lace). Saddles and Sin is Bubba's story and it did not disappoint! Bubba is the "good ol' boy" who struggles against family opinion as he pursues his dream of becoming a country singer. The family ranch means everything to his Mom and brothers but he knows he makes a much better singer than cowboy. Bubba takes a vacation from the ranch to secretly work with Marisol who is helping him wade through the obstacles of making his dream a reality. While collaborating on new material and facing perhaps the biggest break in his musical career, family obligations call Bubba back home. Marisol returns to Lonesome Point with him, facing her own memories and demons of life in a small town while unwilling to let Bubba miss out on a once in a lifetime opportunity. Unexpected resistance from his family and haunting memories that won't stay in the past causes Marisol to retreat behind the wall she has built against forming any new relationships. This story had me cheering all the way through. Bubba is the cowboy one dreams about while Marisol is a strong, empathetic woman – it is fun to watch the sparks fly! Their path is not an easy one. Who can’t relate to family pressures and haunting mistakes that simply won’t be left in the past? I couldn’t put the book down as Bubba and Marisol grew closer despite Bubba's Mom's hostility and the realization that Marisol's past will never be forgotten. A sexy read that made me cheer for the good ol’ boy and the cowgirl! I can’t wait for Tulsi and Pike’s story. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this series! I love Jessie Evans and her books. She's one of the best, cleanest, witty writers I've ever read. She makes you feel like you are there sharing their lives with them. The characters and towns come alive in her books. I love the Lonesome Point Series. Bubba intrigued me in the first book and I’m so glad that he has his own! Bubba is a sweet, sexy cowboy who can sing. What's better than that? Nothing! Add in his dirty mouth and penchant for all things kink and you have a winner! His manager, Marisol is a bit of a conundrum with her sexy looks and icy walls. One minute she's melting looking at Bubba and the next she's running off. She's the only one who calls him Robert and he loves that about her. He wants to conquer her. To own her. But she's skittish. He has a way with words that made me swoon; sharp, sweet and dirty. The perfect combination. Will Marisol be able to let go of her past and open up to Bubba? Can Bubba get past her secrets and convince her that he's the one? Do not miss this one!! There was something about him, something more than the handsome features, the drool-worthy body, or the smoke and velvet voice smoother than twenty-year-old-scotch. But Marisol knew he tasted even better than he smelled, and was the kind of man who wasn't afraid to spank a girl during a first kiss. "Yes, there's a chance things might end badly, but I know from experience that fear doesn't keep you safe. All fear does is keep you lonely, and shout so loud you can't hear your heart when it whispers." "And I bet Jesus had a great sense of humor. They just left the funny stuff out of the Bible to save space." I'm not going anywhere. I'm yours. And you're mine. No returns, no exchanges."
