Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAILOR MOON OF MY HEART Sailor Moon Vol. 2 continues right from the ending of volume 1. The dark kingdom is relentless in their search for the silver crystal and energy to resurrect the dark queen. Not only that, but they’ve taken a hold of Tuxedo Mask’s mind and are using him against Sailor Moon! How rude. The love Usagi has for Chiba is so swoon worthy. Even as a kid I knew I wanted a love like theirs. It brings me to tears just thinking they might not be together (even though I know how it ends HA). I know the third volume is going to be explosive with the finale of the first story arc. I want the scouts to bust out and use their powers to dominate. I feel like that’s the one big difference from the anime. In the manga they don’t seem so cool and powerful, but in the anime they kick-ass and unapologetic about it. I just hope they get explored more! I highly recommend if you are a huge fan of Sailor Moon like I am, to read the original manga. You won’t regret it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More mature than the anime A good continuation of the foundation laid in the first volume. Once again, intended for a more mature audience than the anime dub we grew up with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes! I loved being able to see into the realm of Sailor Moon and the original portrayal. It`s a part of my childhood I've also held onto but the manga have reminded me of the power of love, friendship and being kind to one another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So pretty I love Sailor Moon. I think it’s amazing, and I have since I was a little kid. I remember watching it on tv. I remember acting out the transformation scenes. I remember collecting all the wands and trying to figure out which of the Guardians was my favourite. Getting to read it now as an adult is so wonderful because it's something I love, but I'm getting to experience it all over again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it. I am in love with these book covers and the pretty artwork especially the coloured pages at the beginning of these books. The big information parts seemed to dim my interest a little but I still loved the book. The romance and drama are perfect. I kind of wish there would be a bit more in depth look at the characters' personalities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! I've loved Sailor Moon since I was small, so when I heard they were re-releasing the manga, I was ecstatic. I was incredibly excited when my pre-ordered copy of volume one arrived early. I ripped through the box and pulled it out. I read it within the first hour and loved it. What I enjoyed most about the manga rather than the anime is how much they focus on Sailor Moon's and Tuxedo Masks relationship. It's freakin' cute. Anywhozzle, I love Sailor Moon. So if you're thinking of buying it, do it. (:

Editorial Reviews

"With its whimsical sense of fashion, thrilling adventure and complex backstory, Sailor Moon was like little else young girls had ever before seen on television, and miles above anything American animators were offering them. The anime led to interest in the manga, which in turn became the sort of success that made the bookstore market sit up and take notice. Scratch a modern-day manga fangirl, and you're likely to find someone who watched Sailor Moon when she was young." -The Comics Journal
