Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insights into Movie Magic If you read SAVE THE CAT! by Blake Synder and wished you could sit next to him at a movie to get his take on it, this sequel is the next best thing! In SAVE THE CAT! GOES TO THE MOVIES, Blake analyzes dozens of movies using the 15-Point Beat Sheet described in the first book. Although both STC! books are meant to stand alone (meaning you don't need to read one to understand the other), I wouldn't part with either of mine. I love the detailed description of the first book and I adore reading Blake's version of the beat sheets of various movies in the second book. Although Blake wrote the STC! books with screenwriters in mind, his story structure method works well for any story-teller. I highly recommend SAVE THE CAT! and SAVE THE CAT! GOES TO THE MOVIES for anyone who wants insight into the magic behind good movies and story-telling.
