Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not terribly good, but not terribly bad either Started off well, but lost steam in the middle and the ending was awful. Disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Saving Faith I was not terribly "taken" by the writing style of this author, nor of the story itself. It seemed to take a dreadfully long time to be told, and spent far too much time in the details of absolutely every little thing, not a good way to tell a tale in my view. An overall would have been fine in a lot of cases and the story still to be told with an appreciation for the understanding. I am not a particular fan of political stories and certainly a great deal less interested where it is American in content. I guess this is an american story for americans! I would not recommend it as a good read, let alone of interest to the Canadian audience. Not my style, and I would hesitate to pick up another of Mr.Baldacci's books.

From Our Editors

Danny Buchanan and Faith Lockhart are the two most powerful lobbyists ever to cruise Capitol Hill. They can guarantee results mainly because their money has a real knack for making it into the pockets of those with power. But when the CIA busts Danny, he is forced to go undercover to uncover even more of the corruption. This inevitably leads to a professional conflict, as Faith is right in his line of fire. All this while the FBI is closing in, preparing for a political showdown that will forever change Washington. Saving Faith is intricately constructed, giving readers the sense of reality and drama with just a hint of power.
