It's finally here! Six years and almost one-thousand pages have all led to this epic finale! With six of Ramona's seven evil exes dispatched, it should be time for Scott Pilgrim to face Gideon Graves, the biggest and baddest of her former beaus. But didn't Ramona take off at the end of Book 5? Shouldn't that let Scott off the hook? Maybe it should, maybe it shouldn't, but one thing is for certain—all of this has been building to SCOTT PILGRIM'S FINEST HOUR!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scott Pilgrim 6: They Are In Love Ramona and Scott have been through many things together. They Meet. They Relive The Past. They Seek Closure. They Fight. They Depart Each Other. And now finally, They Are In Love. Just like They were made for each other. For those of low brow taste (like I used to have until Ramona and Scott came along), Scott Pilgrim Volume 6 Finest Hour is the grand finale of Lost proportions to Canadian writer artist Bryan Lee O’Malley’s series of graphic novels. We started off with the relationship between Ramona Flowers, a tough funky go-getter, and Scott Pilgrim, a slacker of almost epic inertia, finding each other by chance. Much drama fills their daily lives with grace periods punctuated with brief tumultuous spats. All along the way, the absurdist takes over the story whenever Ramona’s Seven Evil Exe’s come into town and cause a ruckus. Got all that? Good, because it is the last time I am recapping it. Ever. Whew. When we last left off, Ramona had vanished before Scott’s very eyes, making a beeline straight to her Evil Exe Gideon (and yes, he is really truly Evil with a capital E), and Scott fell into a major slacker stupor filled with moping and video games. His will broken, Scott has actually entered a wholesale depression. The only remaining connection to Ramona is his fruitless search for her missing cat. To snap Scott back into some semblance of a life, his good friend Wallace ships him out of Toronto to seek advice and comfort from his old high school girlfriend (and drummer for their band) Kim. Time in the woods causes much contemplation for our Mr Pilgrim. Kim’s counsel, matching with his own harsh awakenings, makes our hero realize shortcomings which has sabotaged past relationships. This newfound knowledge, capped with a go get’um from Kim, propels Scott back to town for the inevitable confrontation with the vile Gideon. To reveal more at this point would despoil the marvelous ending. To say that a major, no holds barred battle royale occurs between Ramona and Scott on one side, and the brutish Gideon on the other, is an understatement. To imply this war is waged on both the physical and mental planes is fair game. To read deep psychological and philosophical meaning and insight into this melee is required, nay, demanded. And to say that Ramona’s purse is akin to a weaponized Tardis is to put it mildly. Which means the battle in this Volume makes the previous ones look mild by comparison. Gideon is an expert swordfighter who plays dirty at every opportunity. And with the laws of physics suspended from reality yet again, Ramona and Scott as usual adapt super quickly to the new paradigm. Even when the surreal enters the even more surreal with the mental battle inside Ramona’s head, the sheer craziness and absolute terror may be far fetched, but it feels so a part of us. This climatic fight is the one with the most strangest sequences ever, but resonates the best with our favourite couple. So as to not give away the obvious ending, Ramona and Scott have their happily ever after fairy tale, with Gideon now vanquished like coins scattered on the breeze. With this last Volume, Ramona and Scott are together forever. Free from tyrannical interference, excessive past baggage, and marauding bands of Evil Exe’s. They can now start their next journey together. As they should be. Very Much In Love. And from the ashes of Sex Bob-omb rises Shatterband. Long may she reign! Scoopriches

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best GN series ever. If there is anyone out there who has not read The Scott Pilgrim series, and I hear you exist, please read it. It's funny, touching, real, and more than a bit absurd. I never thought I'd enjoy a manga style comic, but I will never regret reading this series multiple times. BLO'M has such a great series, ridiculous yet nuanced. Huzzah. Funny, Romantic, Adventurous, Awesome. FRAA!
