An eggs-cellent way to start the day! Breakfast will never be the same, thanks to Dr. Seuss’s classic rhyming picture book Scrambled Eggs Super! When Peter T. Hooper tires of traditional scrambled eggs, he sets out on a quest to find the rarest and most exciting eggs so he can make the amazing breakfast he craves. Featuring zany egg-layers such as the Sala-ma-goox, the Tizzle-Topped Grouse, and the Bombastic Aghast, Scrambled Eggs Super! will hit the spot and leave readers wanting seconds.

"Riotous humor in picture and verse as an enterprising Seuss creature hunts uncommon eggs for a super deluxe dish."--Child Study Assn.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scrambled Eggs Super Dr. Seuss has never been solely for children. Many bedtimes have been spent with parents chuckling over the rolling toungue twisters while their children say "Faster!", and "Again!". Childrens writers yearn to match the simple genius of Dr. Seuss' tales, yet remain at a distance in an admiring stance. The other-worldly charm of Green Eggs and Ham has been captured in Scrambled Eggs Super, where Peter T. Hooper has no problem trotting the globe looking for exotic eggs to make his dish: Scrambled eggs super. In 'Seuss World', kids rule, and without any fear of the creatures that roam it, even going as far as asking them for their eggs, if you please.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I don't like to Brag and I don't like to Boast, I don't like to Brag and I don't like to boast, said Peter T. Hooper,... This was the first book that I ever learned to read. Every night I read this book with such conviction that it was so tattered in a matter of months. This has got to be the number one of Dr Suess's books! The Grinch may be Great, And Green Eggs and Ham Devine, but Scrambled Eggs Super, is Super every time! I still remember the words. Its a great book for a kid to learn. Even my father 20 years later still remembers the words. "Ali, brave Ali, he fought his way through and brought me the egg, like I knew he would do." I can't begin to describe the greatness of this book. All I can say that it hooked me into reading from the age of four, and it introduced me to many wonderful worlds. The only sad thing, is it's not well known among people who are familiar with Suess, and it's a shame because its by far the best. I think that for a some one that is teaching their child to read, and wants their child to continue reading, should get this book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Story for ALL! This was one of my favourite books growing up. Actually any Dr Suess book would fall into that category!! The most fun was watching as my grandmum would get tongue tied trying to read these books to us!! I adore Scrambled Eggs Super. A great tale of adventure and a tonne of new words which promotes children to create and invent their surroundings. I highly recommend getting the entire Dr Suess Library. Your child(ren) will thank you for it!
