Amitav Ghosh was born in Calcutta and grew up in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyable! I found the first half slow and hard to get into but by the second half I was really into the book. I was drawn to Paulette and Deeti's characters. I'm looking forward to reading the 2nd and 3rd book in the trilogy.
