“Great fun!” - The MiamiHerald
Named one of Time Magazine's top 10graphic novels for 2013!
Suzie's just a regular gal with an irregulargift: when she has sex, she stops time. One day she meets Jon and it turns outhe has the same ability. And sooner or later they get around to using theirgifts to do what we'd ALL do: rob a couple banks.
A bawdy and brazen sex comedy for comics beginshere, by Matt Fraction (Satellite Sam, Hawkeye) and Chip Zdarsky(Prison Funnies, Monster Cops).
"On the surface, this is ahilarious story of two people, Suzanne and Jon, with the power to stop timeafter they orgasm, and then rob banks while (almost) everyone else is frozen intime, which is an amazingly original idea. But underneath that, this is a storyof the beginning of a relationship: its exciting newness, its terrifyingpossibilities, its ups and downs, its secrets and understandings, and, ofcourse, its sex." - PW

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff! I read Sex Criminals with my morning coffee - what a way to start the day!!! This book was very well done. Great artwork, great premise, great characters. Nothing else to say, except that I will be reading more in this series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laughed out loud on the train! I got caught reading this graphic novel on the train because I couldn't contain my laughter. The premise of the novel is fun but also touches on relationships and mental health. Readers can easily grow to sympathize with the two main characters as you start to learn more about them and their quirks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique Frankly, the entire premise is a little preposterous but it works. It's a quirky story that is pretty enjoyable to read. I found it to be humorous but admittedly the humor is not for everyone. These vol. 1 Image trade paperbacks make for great value as you can get them for under $10. It's hard to feel like you didn't get your moneys worth at that price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious A comic about basically letting your freak flag fly. It's funny and relatively explicit but manages not to be crude or offensive. In fact, it is sex positive and speaks about mental and sexual health in an encouraging way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Like bad sex, underwhelming and disappointing I don't get this. Was it supposed to be funny? Wait for the jokes, it's coming, it's cumming, wait for it, so we're constantly told. Maybe thrilling? But nothing really happens in this volume, and I don't see much more happening beyond more sex and bank robberies and running from the time-freezing sex police. So prove me wrong, Volume 2. The illustrations didn't appeal to me either, so while I really liked the creatively erotic plot of "Sex Criminals," I found it utterly underwhelming and boring. I count myself to be a pretty sexually-liberal person so it wasn't a matter of not liking the content or being squeamish over it - it was just tackily done (glowing penis, really?), and sometimes a tad bit demeaning and stereotypical. Furthermore, it tries too hard to be smart and witty, and while it hits the mark a handful of times, it mostly comes across pretentious and childish. I don't know. It's the first volume so the groundwork has to be laid, I'll give it that much. Still, I'm not impressed. Guess I'll go rub one out myself and hope my time-freezing adventures are more interesting than this.
