Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impossible to put down! This series is really blowing me away. It's imaginative, and keeps you so interested you rarely want to even put the book down. Kylar and Logan are two great characters, and the author gives a rather honest portrayal of human behavior in the face of vast adversity, including the will to survive any situation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A quality read I don't have a raving review to write about this book but I don't have a bad one either. It was a good book. Well written, well thought out, and captivating. I enjoyed it very much and found myself going back to it constantly and not wanting to put it down. I didn't find myself caring for the characters the way I do in other books. I was simply entertained by the events. Also, I thought that it could have used some editing. Not because there were confusing plot points or spelling mistakes, but because there were parts that could have been cut altogether. Not important to the progression of the story, didn't contribute to character building and really added nothing special. Over all, I would say Yes, buy this book. Obviously start with the first (which I enjoyed much more). I am looking forward to the third. A quality author keeps you in the story at all times and Weeks does that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as engaging as the first! This second book in the Trilogy is just as captivating as the first. The story just keeps getting better and better. Weeks did not falter at all in writing this second book. The flow of the story is perfect, and the characters have greatly matured. The events in this novel take place about a week or so after the end of the first novel. Kylar's character development is stronger here than in the first. Here, he makes decisions on his own, without the dictations of his master, Durzo Blint. In this novel, we get a firm grasp on who Kylar truly is, seeing him from the inside and out. The supporting characters from the first book play a bigger role in this second installment of the trilogy, and new characters are introduced. This novel still moves at a break-neck pace, and the action never stops. It is highly recommended that the first book be read before reading any of the other two books in the trilogy, since the events are in chronological order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing Brent weeks is an amazing author and shows his exelince in all his books of the Night Angle series I love how he shows the hard ships that Kylar has to go through and the tough disitions he has to make for the better. In several ocations it looks like it the end how could any think happen that could save him but by twist of fate some things happen for the better and some for worse. I belive that this book shows how every decition we make there are several things that change that we wouldent of thought of and because of this i rate this book 5/5 for making it hard to book down, the twist and turns, and how deep the book can go if you think about what happens when ur not reading. I found i was almost thinking how could he defeat an enemy when it looks like his attempts are folly. I recomend this book to reat teen readers and to adults who just love a great read

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning story-telling; can't get enough! The momentum begun so very well in the first book ~ THE WAY OF SHADOWS ~ is accelerating. Brent Weeks not only keeps the tension at killer levels, but he often ratchets them up a notch or three; thankfully he's mastered the art of giving the reader some breathing space. And beware the twists and turns, 'cause you may just find yourself someplace you never expected! But be careful, if you start this book just before bed, you may find yourself VERY short on sleep....: I'm constanly amazed at Brent Weeks' ability to take horrifying elements and make them a necessary part of the story. This is very, very much a story of Good versus Evil... and Evil never does things half-way. But watching as various characters find a strength within themselves and others ~ wow... THIS is what makes a story, a series something that will live on for a long time to come. In his Night Angel Trilogy, Brent Weeks has done just that; created a masterpiece that will become a classic. I really can't say enough wonderful things about this book, this series or this author to truly convey my admiration; at least not if I want to keep my review from going on forever.
