Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very, very, very good Shooter was a great book. Part of me loves how it's written in police reports and all that stuff, but the other part of me didn't get the full feel of the book, if you know what I mean. Shooter is a very different book, in a good way. I loved how we kinda already knew the result of how he died - not just by a bullet, by a self-inflicted wound, and that we got to experience how the deceives came to that conclusion. It was truly amazing how Walter Dean Myers could put us in the mind of all the witnesses. I especially loved reading from his journal. (Sorry for saying Him, or His. I forgot his name) Shooter is very different. Walter Dean Myers has a unique writing style, like many of his other books that I recommend. It's definitely not something you see everyday, and, when you do, you have to appreciate that this author is so talented that he can put us through the minds of many different people. From investigators, to witnesses, to the victims. It truly is a gift.
