Sinner follows Cole St. Clair, a pivotal character from Maggie Stiefvater's #1 New York Times bestselling Shiver series.

Cole St. Clair has come to California for one reason: to get Isabel Culpeper back. She fled from his damaged, drained life, and damaged and drained it even more. He doesn't just want her. He needs her.

Isabel is trying to build herself a life in Los Angeles. It's not really working. She can play the game as well as all the other fakes. But what's the point? What is there to win?

Cole and Isabel share a past that never seemed to have a future. They have the power to love each other and the power to tear each other apart. The only thing for certain is that they cannot let go.

MAGGIE STIEFVATER is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the novels Shiver, Linger, and Forever. Her novel The Scorpio Races was named a Michael L. Printz Honor Book by the American Library Association, while Publishers Weekly selected Maggie's The Raven Boys as a Best Book of the Year. She is also the author of Lament and Ball...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My fav couple from the series 4.5 stars. The insider view into my favourite couple gave me life. Man i felt strong emotions for each of them and loved seeing their inner thoughts and vulnerability. Together these two broken characters make something whole. They compliment each other perfectly. They know each other well. Everytime they come together it's sparks and fire. Their passion and physical attraction is intense but it's when they add in the mental connection that it really comes together. The plot was a little slow moving but still pretty exciting. There were moments of humour and moments of raw emotion. The combination makes for a great book!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn’t like as much as Shiver, Linger, and Forever I bought this book because I loved the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater and was excited to revisit the world she had created. However, I didn’t find Isabel and Cole as compelling in this book as I did in the other 3 books. I felt a bit disconnected from the characters because I couldn’t relate to them as much as I did with Grace and Sam. But it was still cool to see where they ended up after the events of the last book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I was worried after Forever ended because we didn't know what happened with any of the characters, so I am very glad that Maggie wrote this book!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sinner (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #4) It has been a while since I read the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, so I was a bit worried that remembering next to no details about it would make reading this a flop, but it was not a problem at all. The marvelously marvellous book written by none other than one of my favourite authors, Maggie Stiefvater! The book surpassed my higher-than-Mt-Everest expectations and left me with that utterly satisfying feeling you get when you wake up and realise that you still have more time to sleep. Sinner was hilarious, sarcastic and genuine; an all-rounder book that had me grinning like the Cheshire Cat. Cole St. Clair is an indescribably brilliant character and it was mesmerizing to read from his perspective. His snark, humour, sarcasm and charm were dizzying and I have begun to memorize his countless one-liners and retorts that would leave you grasping for a comeback, or more likely, scratching your head. And all I have to say is- Cole St Clair...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay I really enjoyed the trilogy but I was disappointed by Sinner. I was anticipating it being more similar to the trilogy. It was an okay book for a light read but I didn't find it particularly engaging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting It was really interesting, however I liked the trilogy better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy she did this novel This was definitely different then the shiver trilogy since they're in the city and their love is more all over the place then Grace & Sam's but I think that's good. I really enjoyed it and I'm a fan of their love story.

Editorial Reviews

Praise for Sinner: "A refreshing revisit." -Entertainment Weekly " [A] believable, realistic portrayal of damaged people struggling to fit their quirks together in a relationship . . . A spectacularly messy, emotionally oh-so-human romance." -Kirkus " A redemption story . . . Sinner feels painfully realistic, as it's more about the romance between the characters and life's messiness than the paranormal elements." -Huffington Post Praise for the New York Times bestselling Shiver series: * "Beautiful and moving." -School Library Journal, starred review* " A lyrical tale of alienated werewolves and first love . . . [Stiefvater's] take on werewolves is interesting and original." -Publishers Weekly, starred review"Beautifully written, even poetic at times, and a perfect indulgence for readers of all ages." -Bookpage
