Rated 5 out of 5 by from My kid’s favourite author Lynley Dodd has been my kid's favourite author for years - the poetry is catchy and funny and easy to memorize, the illustrations are wonderfully done and make up the big part of the story. There is always a surprise twist in each of the books which amuse my kids even after 100-th time reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most enjoyable This was the first book of Lynley Dodd I bought fto read at night to my son when he was little. I probably enjoyed reading irt more than he enjoyed listening to the rhymes. Prepare to read it again and again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best children's books I have read. Upon having my first child I received many books that I could read to my daughter. I found that Slinky Malinki is a book I return to over and over. It's a fun book to read out loud. Lynley Dodd creates a pleasant poetry experience for both parent and child alike. As a teacher I have found that I use her book often to illustrate excellent examples of fun and enjoyable poetry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favourite Read-aloud! My children both loved this book and I just love reading it! I'm a Kindergarten Teacher and each year I look forward to sharing this book with my new Kindergartens. They love it! It's so much fun to read, the word choice is perfect, and is so enriching for the children. I would say I read this book 5 or 6 times a month, the children request it often. I pretty well have it memorized by now but I never tire of reading it aloud.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purrrrfect! This is a wonderful read aloud book for young and old. My cats absolutely loved it and they can be very critical :) The story flows nicely and I was very delighted to find that there are quite a few more Slinky Malinki books available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dastardly Deeds Done in the Dark of Night Slinky Malinki is a rapscallion cat This whole book rhymes, there's nothing wrong with that. I know some parents get sick of every kid book being told in rhyme, but this book is a fun read. The words just flow off your tongue as you read aloud, and you and your child will laugh at Slinky Malinky's dastardly deeds. The illustrations are wonderful. This book is still a favourite in my house.
