about

Dot, whose name reflects her stature, has always had big dreams—but her dreams have to be put on hold while she searches for the truth about her parents. She gets a job as a seamstress at a lakeside resort in rural Ontario and falls hard for Eddie, a charming local boy who is equal parts helpful and distracting as Dot investigates her past. Searching for answers to questions about her birth, Dot learns more than she ever wanted to about the terrible effects of war, the legacy of deceit—and the enduring nature of love.

Part of the SECRETS—a series of seven linked novels that can be read in any order.

Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small Bones (Secrets) by Vicki Grant Out of the "Secrets" series, this book was the least one I liked. I didn't care for Dot, she was too meh in my opinion. I didn't even finish the book properly - halfway in, I just skipped to the end chapters just to see what happened to her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and cute The first bit is kinda burning but keep reading I promise you'll love it. Btw it's a mix of cheesy romance and female power

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very cute This is the first book in the seven secrets series that I'd read, and it got me interested in the other ones. It was very cute and the main character felt real. Her story was dramatic, but it was exactly how that character would have told it. It wasn't overwhelming, and not my favourite book, but I loved it and it was so quick and easy to get through, and fun.
