Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favourite Book I discovered John le Carre's books at age 14 and have loved them ever since. John le Carre has a haunting style that no other author could possibly write better. Smiley is so human and so vulnerable in this book, and it is a timely reflection on morality, and the value of the "right thing" when all the wrong methods are used to achieve it. A fantastic book, recommended to anyone and everyone, especially if you like spy novels.
