Rated 4 out of 5 by from A simply beautiful book I very much enjoyed this foray into a new philosophy. Although Dr. Colin Mallard is describing the Tao and I'm a Christian, I appreciated his eloquent, poetic interpretation of the "Tao Te Ching". It was fascinating to see the similarities between Dr. Mallard's beliefs and my own, as both Tao and Christianity encourage the wisdom of humility, of letting go of one's self, of accepting that there is something greater beyond ourselves, and that there is a single, ultimate truth that can be grasped if only we let go of the trappings of this mortal world. A bit more understanding between belief systems is rarely a bad thing, and this book is a beautiful expression of belief that can be appreciated by all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A beautiful book An absolutely beautiful book. Colin Mallard's poetic interpretation of the Tao Te Ching is both profound and accessible, and I thoroughly enjoyed poring over each verse. I'd already spent time admiring the photos that form an integral part of this work, and then I discovered that these were taken by the author himself. Highly recommended.
