Summers are supposed to be fun, right? Not mine. I've got a job at my dad's company, which is sponsoring a college scholarship competition. I just found out that, in addition to my job assisting the competing interns, I'm supposed to vote for the winner. Totally not what I signed up for.

My boss is running the competition like it's an episode of Survivor. Then there's Carlos, who is, well, very distracting--in a good way. But I can't even think about him like that because fraternizing on the job means instant disqualification for the intern involved.

As if that's not enough, an anonymous informant with insider intel is trying to sabotage my dad's company on social media...and I'm afraid it's working.

Much as I'd love to quit, I can't. Kristoffs Never Quit is our family motto. I just hope there's more than one survivor by the end of this summer.

Lisa Brown Roberts still hasn't recovered from the teenage trauma of nearly tweezing off both eyebrows and having to pencil them in for an entire school year. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review posted on GR! Mini review: I received this E-ARC via Entangled Publishing and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. When I had initially head about Spies, Lies, and Allies there was a completely different synopsis. That synopsis drew me in. Naturally when I spotted Spies, Lies, and Allies on Netgalley I didn't hesitate to request it. I'm glad that I read it! When I had first start reading, I was positive that I was going to DNF it. Laurel was utterly annoying. Her constant use of 'Dad Vader' made me uncomfortable. This was not an affectionate term. Laurel honestly believed her father's company was evil. She was immature and quick to judge. Out of curiosity to see who won the scholarship I read on. I'm happy I did so as Laurel improved and the rest of the interns lives kept me going. They all had a good relationship with one-another. Spies, Lies and Allies really surprised me. The romance was done well. There was quite a bit of tension with Laurel and Carlos. They made a great couple. The mystery aspect while predictable served it's purpose off bringing everyone together. Laurel and her father work out their issues. Also there is diversity! I'm not giving a higher rating considering my issues in the beginning. That definitely sucked out most of the experience. All in all this was a feel good book. If you can get past Laurel's initial attitude then I would highly recommend.
