Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the Buy For a young preteen to young adult novel this is a fun read. I love ghost stories and this one was delightful; it had everything I wanted in story; an old creepy house, ghost friends, a big bad, comforting grandma's, different rich cultural histories, and Mrs. Oh did a lovely job of writing a very young child who feels fear and love and confusion just like any other young preteen. I do feel the story was a tad short--much of that will come with the territory of young reader books--but I feel like the big bad guy should have come later, perhaps in a sequel or if the book had been lengthened in some way. But all in all this was a wonderful read where anyone ranging from 7-13 would enjoy, or if you're older but still enjoy any ghost tale stories you can bump this book off in a couple hours and be satisfied.
