Then the Empire came and took over the planet. The temple was destroyed and thepeople scattered. Now Baze and Chirrut do what they can to resist the Empire and protect thepeople of Jedha, but it never seems to be enough. Then a man named Saw Gerrera arrives, witha militia of his own and grand plans to take down the Empire. It seems like the perfect way forBaze and Chirrut to make a real difference and help the people of Jedha live better lives. Butwill it come at too great a cost?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With the Force Guardians of the Whills introduces the city of Jedha whose citizens crumble under the exploitation of the Empire for the planet's valuable resources. Chirrut and Baze struggle to hold onto hope to aid their people as they take us into the psyche of living in squalor, oppression, and with the loyalty of friendship. In the action, Chirrut shows himself as Force-wielder from a non-Jedi point of view. Great dialogue between characters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! A lovely read to fill the Chirrut & Baze shaped hole in my heart (which is ironic, because I literally was born with a hole in my heart). Filled with the butt-kicking awesomeness you'd expect from this dynamic-duo, Rucka adds to their tale by having them protect an orphanage, which leads them to work with a certain raspy fanatic. What I really loved was the dialogue between Chirrut and Baze, very organic and true to their characters. Pick this up soon!
