about

Fair Warning … This isn’t a sappy romance. It’s not sweet. It’s far from anything you would want to imagine. This is a story to leave you feeling dirty.

Nothing about us is normal.

Nothing about us is natural.

Can love ultimately be defined in such ways, truly?

This is our story.

He is a hitman, the very one who took my family the night that changed us both forever. Something in my eyes stopped him from killing me. Something in my eyes called out for him to take me.

At ten, he captured me. At fifteen, he consumed me. And at eighteen, he owned me.

Outsiders think he’s my father … That is so far from the truth.

Our twisted desires fuel the darkness that lies deep inside us both. My innocence never existed, and he takes me as I am.

This is a taboo, dark romance, psychological thriller. Not suitable for readers under the age of 18.

Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from hit and miss just like the blurb says this is a taboo romance book. After being abused daily by her father main character gets a form of salvation as a masked man breaks into her house and kills her father. It is then this man that takes her with him. At first she is shocked and unsure what to do with his kindness and at the same time his imprisonment. However it seems like this man did not want to hurt her and instead saw her as almost like a daughter. To the outside world she became his daughter taking her name and everything else about her, however this couldn't be farther from the truth. This book was pretty good however very different than I expected. It was a little lighter than I thought it would be. Good job but not my favourite captive novel. My favourite part of this book had to be how H (the hitman)'s character was written kind of smoldering and mysterious. Very well done. The best part was every time I thought that I new what was going on there was a new twist that left me shocked. It was never ending with surprises. Kind of a 50-50 on this one parts I loved and others were very disappointing.
