Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great recipes & excellent photography I received this as a Christmas present two years ago while interning at a food photography studio. I have yet to actually make one of the recipes, but I'm looking forward to the day that I do as everything looks and sounds delicious. The photography caught my attention right away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Eats I love to read cookbooks and this book is full of little comments by the author that sneak into the instructions and make it fun. The recipes are well laid out, with a separate ingredient list and easy-to-read instructions. It actually felt more like a journey through street food than cookbook and sticks mainly to Canada and the US. I love the chapter on Baon and can't wait to try all the lip smacking recipes in the book. Good food for hanging out with friends on a lazy Sunday.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves to cook and try new things. He loves his street hot dogs, so when I found this non-traditional cook book, I had to get it for him. I'm knocking off one star for this review because 1) there are so many pages that don't have recipes (have photos or information about a certain American region - which to be honest, really isn't that important when you're cooking), and 2) a lot of the recipes include onions (this is just a personal preference, but we just really don't like onions). Otherwise, this is a fantastic cook-book. Just reading the recipes leave you hungry. Also, the fact that the recipes are divided by different regions is really helpful. If i ever need to buy another cook book as a gift, I will definitely be repurchasing this one!
